We build search services for millions of users. There are over 500 million Yahoo! users worldwide, and most of them are using services powered by the software from the team in the Trondheim office. Our mission is:

"Enable all Yahoo! services to make world's best end user search experience by providing and supporting a platform for aggregating, storing, processing and making searchable all available Yahoo! data"

To make this, we must build large-scale solutions with fault tolerance and high performance. Our role in this is to write, test and some times deploy and operate software in the Yahoo! network, where single services can span thousands of machines.

We work closely with our colleagues globally - we travel for shorter and longer stays inn all parts of the world. Most of the travel is to our headquarters in Sunnyvale, California. Check out our interactive map over where our technology is in use.
